Fruits Period | 1986 - 1989

Ana María frees up the pictorial space to handle her brushes in capturing lines and shapes arranged in the void.

In her exhibition entitled Fantasy, the nísperos hammock in a space hanging from a rope, the same is true of the ajoporros; these vegetables lose their character as such to become forms that float in space.

This continuous process quickly led her to move away from the typical landscape of her first artistic period, when the theme was intertwined in contemplation of beauty and in the exacerbation of delicate sensitivity.

The incessant search and skill acquired in those few years of relentless work, towards the end of the eighties lead her to the great shapes that appear in the foreground, moving forward, as well as a detailed and meticulous representation of flowers and foliage, leaves and branches.

For those years, timidly, she groups these forms together following the technique of the enlarged visual approach.
